Quotable: "Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time." - John Lubbock
Wow! What a year. We have supported each other through heart attacks, health scares, loss of loved ones, new babies, selling homes, buying homes, family crises, children graduating, children starting school for the first time, new ideas, successes, struggles, frustrations and celebrations...it seems we have lived a life time together this school year. "Together" is the key word. Sharing these events, supporting each other, celebrating with each other, and consoling each other, just being there in a time of need, these are the things that make us family, a wonderful Parma Family. I know for me this school year started off a bit strange and unexpected. I hated adding stress to your already stressful days. I can tell you that your love, prayers and support meant the world to me. You stepped up and never missed a beat - unlike my heart : ) . We are heading into a much needed summer vacation. Though I know you will be working on next year ideas, reading books for school, taking classes, getting your classroom ready, catching up on Parma Plan It Blog posts : ), please also take time to relax. Take time to just sit and breathe and enjoy! You deserve it! Thank you for being such an amazing Parma family!
We do have 4 1/2 days left with our kids. Remember that their behavior could very well be due to the anxiety of leaving you, of being without you and saying goodbye to the safety and security of our school. Be patient! Many of our kids, as we know, depend on us for so much...most importantly, they depend on us to show them love. Let's send them out at the end of the week knowing that they are loved and cared for, and we will be right here at summer's end! Enjoy them these final days.
